The IEEE is Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.  IEEE at VIT aims at educational and technical advancement of electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering and allied disciplines. It is an active organisation which conducts various workshops related to MATLAB ,Big data, Internet-of-Things, Data Science, Data Analysis,etc. This gives an insight of end to end solution for automation in next generation. It provides a brilliant forum for technical advancement of students irrespective of their branch.

  • SAE

SAE, the Society of Automotive Engineers in VIT lays principal emphasis on automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicles. The SAE team of VIT, Pune has many national awards to its credit. Belonging to the mechanical dept, this club is in-charge of conducting industrial visits, technical workshops, guest lectures for students from all branches. Along with providing an annual SAE India membership, it has conducted visits to Hyundai,Forbes Marshall, Sandvik, John Deere etc and workshops like CATIA, ansys, lathe  aiming to bridge the gap between students and industry.
SAE VIT, Pune is an excellent organisation which provides a crucial platform for the students to stay in touch with the latest advancements and pave a path for excellence and innovation in the field of automotive engineering.

  • The Robotics Forum
 

The Robotics Forum is a group of dedicated individuals, right from First Year to Final Year, undergraduates to Professors and HODs working passionately in the field of Robotics to take the college to new heights in this field. The Forum focuses on development through knowledge transfer from faculty and alumni to the students and from seniors to juniors through the medium of various workshops held yearlong, and strongly believes in - "Learning Through Doing".

Robocon 2018: Quarter Finalists and overall 6th All India Position
Robocon 2017:
Quarter Finalists and overall 7th All India Position

-Robocon
Runners-up: 3 Times
Semi Finalists: 1 Time
Quarter Finalists: 5 Times
Best Debutant, Best Autonomous Robot, Best Manual Robot, Best Operator, Best Economical Robot,
Jury Award, Lightest Hybrid robot, Automatic Reloading Mechanism and one of the teams to complete pole walk task in 'ABU Robocon'.

-eYantra Robotics Competition(eYRC)
All India rank 10th - 2015-16 (Theme: Hazardous Waste Disposal)
All India rank 12th 2016-17 (Theme: Gas Leak Detection)

Major In-House Activities
Inaugral Ceremony :This is the first event TRF conducts in an academic year. New members are welcomed to the forum and a guest lecture is delivered.
Level 1 workshop : This is the biggest event of TRF in which more than 250 people participate every year. New members are given hands-on experience of building a semi-automatic robot.
Level 2 workshop : Interviewed & selected members undergo rigorous training for one year in Summer Internship program and are selected for further competition like Robocon, E-Yantra, TechFest, etc.
