ViCulP, the only Drama Club of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, is a vibrant collection of passionate performers: actors, writers, directors, and creative minds who believe in the transformative power of theatre. The club serves as a platform where students come together to express emotions, narrate compelling stories, and bring characters to life through powerful performances. Drama is not just an art form for us—it is a medium of communication, self-expression, and cultural representation that connects people beyond boundaries.

At ViCulP, we aim to cultivate creativity, confidence, and collaboration among students. Theatre helps individuals step out of their comfort zones, enhances public speaking skills, and builds a strong sense of teamwork. Our club provides an environment where beginners and experienced artists alike can learn, grow, and showcase their talents. Through regular rehearsals, script readings, acting workshops, and stage performances, members gain hands-on experience in various aspects of theatre including acting, direction, scriptwriting, stage management, and production design.

Our primary goal is to represent our college at prestigious intercollegiate drama competitions such as Firodiya Karandak and Purushottam Karandak, which are among the most respected theatre competitions in Maharashtra. These competitions are not only a stage to perform but also a battleground of creativity, discipline, and excellence. ViCulP strives to bring home laurels and establish a strong theatrical identity for our college by delivering impactful and memorable performances.

The journey towards these competitions involves rigorous preparation, dedication, and teamwork. From conceptualizing unique scripts to executing flawless stage performances, every member contributes significantly. The club emphasizes originality, social relevance, and artistic depth in its productions. We encourage experimentation with different genres such as comedy, tragedy, satire, and experimental theatre to push creative boundaries.
