AICTE approval is mandatory for colleges to offer technical courses in engineering / technology / management and without it, the degrees and diplomas offered by the college may not be recognized by the government or employers. Accorded permission from Commissioner of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra. Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. Conferment of Autonomous status by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi and also received UGC recognition under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A++’ Grade. All eligible courses are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.

University Grants Commission Recognition (UGC)

VIT Pune has been recognised under Section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, dated 29th June 2007 by University Grants Commission, New Delhi.  Now the college is under the head “Non-Governament Self Financed” Colleges teaching upto Master’s degree to make it eligble to receive central assistance. The college would also be eligible to get grant for all UGC schemes related to teachers and students.
