IBM in collaboration with AICTE, delivered by Smartbridge, has launched the 2^nd edition of the virtual faculty Build-a-thon. In 2023, the 3-learning tracks available to upskill are –

1. Cloud Application Development with RedHat OpenShift
2. Data Analytics with Cognos
3. Cyber Security and SIEM (powered by QRadar)

Department of Information Technology and Department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities in association with Training and Placement Cell – VIT Pune is organizing 4 weeks intensive crash course from 18^th Oct 2021 to 25 Nov 2021 for Unplaced students to sharpen their technical knowledge and soft skill from placement point of view. This year the companies like Wipro, LTI infotech, Accenture, Infosys, TCS will be recruiting students with good coding skills with a package INR 5-10 lacs. These companies are ready to recruit students across any engineering discipline. All students from fourth year who are unplaced, hereby informed that the sessions will be conducted from Monday to Saturday between 10 am to 12:00 noon every day by following faculties.

It gives us immense pride to share with you all that the Department of Information Technology, VIT has organized an expert talk on "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning" in association with  Vodafone India Foundation on Friday, 04th  February 2022 from 04 PM to 05 PM.  All faculty members and students are hereby requested to attend the session.

Resource Person  Mr. Rehan Guha-Data Scientist

Mr.Guha is a Data Scientist presently employed by-product based company. He has worked in several ML projects mainly dealing with Optimization Problems, Explainable AI, Deep Learning, Imbalance Classification, et cetera...

He is also the author of the book "Machine Learning Cookbook with Python" published by BPB publications. He has been part of multiple publications through Journals and Open Publications, along with this I have a few applied patents to my name.

Recently Mr. Rehan was invited by Arizona State University to be a part of their team participating in CPS challenge 2020 funded by the National Science Foundation(NSF), USA, and sponsored by NASA. He also conducted multiple workshops, seminars in this field of research for various universities and made contributions to Open Source Software as well.
