The Speaker’s Club

The Speaker’s Club of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune is a dynamic student-driven community dedicated to enhancing communication, public speaking, and leadership skills among students. In today’s fast-paced and competitive world, the ability to express ideas effectively, think critically, and communicate with confidence has become an essential skill across all domains. The Speaker’s Club serves as a platform where students can develop these competencies through structured activities, events, and interactive learning experiences.

The club actively organizes a wide range of events including workshops, competitions, discussion forums, and expert sessions. One of its flagship initiatives, Speakers’ Edge, is a comprehensive workshop focused on improving public speaking, articulation, and confidence through hands-on activities and guidance from experienced speakers. Another major event, Speakers’ Arena, is an intercollegiate debate competition that brings together students from various institutions, encouraging healthy competition and intellectual exchange. The event is uniquely structured into three engaging rounds: Flip Flop Debate, where participants argue both for and against a topic to test adaptability; Group Discussion (GD), which evaluates teamwork, clarity of thought, and communication skills; and the British Parliamentary Debate, a formal debating format that challenges participants on logic, structure, and rebuttal skills.

VishwaConclave is a multidisciplinary, student-led platform at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, where conversations are not just heard, but experienced. Designed in the true spirit of a conclave, it brings together influential voices from across governance, industry, science, defence, and the arts into a single space where ideas meet perspective and dialogue takes center stage. These are not conventional lectures or debates, but thoughtfully hosted, anchored, and moderated sessions that allow diverse viewpoints to interact, challenge, and evolve in real time.

Since its inception in 2019, VishwaConclave has been built with the intent to shape students who are vigilant in thought and ambitious in vision. It pushes individuals to think beyond the obvious and engage with ideas at a national and global level. This experience is powered by a structured student-led ecosystem spanning domains such as curation, research, content, production, aesthetics, media, branding, sponsorship, finance, publicity, outreach, website, and execution — ensuring that every aspect of the conclave is strategically designed and delivered with precision.

Over the years, the platform has been acknowledged by the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and has hosted eminent personalities including Shri Nitin Gadkari, Mrunal Thakur, General Manoj Naravane, Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Swapnil Bandodkar, Avadhoot Gupte, and Subodh Bhave. It has also collaborated with globally recognized organizations like UNICEF, alongside partnerships with leading brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, ASUS, JAWA, Yamaha, and realme. With a data-driven outreach connecting over 5,00,000 individuals and a presence across more than 30 institutions, along with consistently high audience satisfaction exceeding 95 percent, VishwaConclave reflects both scale and substance in its execution.
