Team Endurance Racing
Team Endurance Racing is the official SAE BAJA team of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, dedicated to designing, developing, and manufacturing All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) for national-level competitions. The team represents the institute at prestigious events like SAE BAJA and ATVC India, where engineering excellence, innovation, and teamwork are tested under real-world conditions.
The team operates as a student-driven engineering organization that bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation. It provides members with hands-on experience in core engineering domains such as design, analysis, manufacturing, vehicle dynamics, powertrain systems, and project management. Over the years, Team Endurance Racing has evolved into a multidisciplinary platform where students collaborate, innovate, and transform ideas into a fully functional off-road vehicle.
In the 2026 season, the team marked its second consecutive year in the electric vehicle category and delivered an outstanding performance at SAE eBAJA 2026, held at NATRAX, Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh) from 7th to 12th January 2026. Competing against more than 90 teams across India, the team secured an impressive All India Rank 5 overall, along with remarkable achievements across multiple events:

The Ideators Club (TIC) is a student-run Technical Club of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune, established with the core purpose of nurturing an innovation-first culture among engineering students. Registered under Club No. VIT/SA/25-26/T-022, TIC operates under the student activity vertical of Technical – Innovation, bringing together students who are passionate about ideas, problem-solving, and real-world impact.
At TIC, we believe that great ideas are the starting point of every great achievement. However, having an idea is never enough — the ability to evaluate, refine, and execute it is what separates concepts from outcomes. The Ideators Club was founded on this philosophy: to equip students with the mindset and the skillset required to transform raw thought into structured, executable solutions.
Our club runs a yearly calendar of carefully designed events, workshops, and expert sessions that address the complete lifecycle of idea development — from ideation and feasibility evaluation to prototyping, project execution, career readiness, and interdisciplinary exploration. In the academic year 2025–26, The Ideators Club successfully organized four major events that collectively engaged over 870 student registrations across multiple batches and year groups.

Team Griffin India is a student-driven aerospace and aeromodelling club dedicated to the design, development, and innovation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and radio-controlled (RC) aircraft. Based at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, the team consists of passionate engineering students from diverse disciplines who share a strong interest in aviation, robotics, and emerging technologies. The club provides a platform where theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms is transformed into practical, real-world engineering applications through hands-on experience.
The core objective of Team Griffin India is to develop efficient and reliable UAV systems capable of addressing real-world challenges such as surveillance, payload delivery, mapping, and disaster response. The team actively works across multiple technical domains, including avionics, aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, and control systems. Each project follows a systematic engineering approach involving conceptual design, simulation, fabrication, integration, and testing. Team Griffin India has established a strong presence in national-level competitions such as the SAE Drone Development Challenge and Aerothon. SAE Veloce Racing
The Veloce Racing Electric is VIT Pune's official Formula Student team; it is devoted to the design, fabrication, and performance improvement of electric race cars. It's the students that handle every single phase of the vehicle, starting from design and complex engineering and up to the construction, testing, and deployment at the race track.
Dedication, team work and technical brilliance will always characterize Veloce Racing Electric's endeavours as it opens new pathways for future engineers. From initial conceptualization and in-depth engineering to fabrication, testing, and eventual race implementation, students are responsible for every aspect of the vehicle. In this process, members acquire invaluable technical expertise and practical experience in real-world industry practices.
Veloce Racing Electric is organized into numerous specialized subsystems: the chassis, the powertrain, the battery management system (BMS), the braking system, aerodynamics, and vehicle dynamics and Transmission. These systems are designed with the highest emphasis on performance, reliability, and safety while strictly adhering to Formula Student regulations. Collaboration amongst these diverse teams allows the complex components of an electric vehicle to be integrated smoothly into a unified, high-performance whole.
Beyond the design and engineering aspect, Veloce Racing Electric is also entrusted with project management, financial strategy, acquisition of sponsorships, and promotion of the brand. The team maintains close relationships with industry partners and sponsors, acquiring knowledge of industry standard practices and assuring financial sustainability of the project. Through workshops, outreach initiatives, and educational programs, the team aims to educate students and the public about the importance of electric mobility and the STEM fields.

Veloce Racing Electric has established a proven record of excellence in each of these categories, solidifying its place among the leading teams in India.
The team has earned significant recognition in competitions both national and international. It attained the 2nd place worldwide in the Combustion Category-a first for an Indian team-and continued its impressive record by securing 1st place Overall in the Electric Category in Formula Bharat 2026.
At Formula Bharat 2026, the team swept all the main dynamic categories, attaining AIR 1 in acceleration, autocross, overall dynamics, and the electric overall category; this performance underscores its exceptional engineering prowess.
Through continuous innovation and iteration, the team analyses its previous vehicles and implements cutting-edge technologies such as ultralightweight composite chassis and body panels, optimized power delivery and regenerative braking systems, and advanced vehicle dynamics controls; each iteration represents an improvement over its predecessor.
Veloce Racing Electric is currently preparing for its participation in prestigious international events such as Formula Student Germany, Austria, East, and Spain. The team aspires to replicate its success in national competitions on the global stage, thereby contributing to the progress of high-performance electric vehicle technology.
