Event Description:The Department, in collaboration with Jamboree Education Pvt. Ltd, organized an insightful session on Higher Studies and Internship Opportunities Abroad. The session focused on guiding students through the process of pursuing education and internships in countries like the USA, UK, Canada, and more. Experts from Jamboree provided valuable information on standardized tests (GRE, TOEFL, IELTS), application procedures, university selection, scholarship opportunities, and gaining international exposure through internships.

Event Title:One-week workshop on “CDAC AI Bootcamp”

Event Description:The workshop was conducted by Mr. Maulik Dayal, Project Engineer and Faculty at CDAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing). Throughout the week, Mr. Dayal guided participants through fundamental and advanced AI concepts, practical applications, and hands-on sessions covering machine learning, deep learning, and real-world AI problem solving.

Event Description:The Department has organized a guest lecture on “DevOps and Cloud Computing” for SY and TY students. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices. Industry experts Mr. Salil Bhongle and Mr. Rahul Miragi from Syngenta shared real-world insights into DevOps workflows, automation, and cloud technologies. Interactive discussions, Q&A sessions, and practical examples helped students understand emerging career opportunities and essential skill sets. The event successfully enhanced students’ awareness of modern development practices.

Event Title:One-Week Faculty Development Program on Modern Agile Principles for Transforming Educational Practices

Event Description:The Department of Computer Engineering (Software Engineering), Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune, in association with IEEE Pune Section, successfully organized a One-Week Faculty Development Program titled “Modern Agile Principles for Transforming Educational Practices” from 8th to 12th December 2025 in online mode through the WebEx platform.

The FDP was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Amit Andre, Chief Executive Officer, The DataTech Labs Inc., who emphasized the importance of Agile frameworks in academic pedagogy. The program featured eminent industry experts including Mr. Nilesh Pardeshi (Technical Manager, Opus Technologies), Mr. Yogesh Murumkar (Founder, Bharat Software Solutions), Mr. Prashant Shinde (Frontend Engineer, Atlassian), Mr. Nitin Nikam (Engineering Manager, PubMatic), and Mr. Sandip Nagpure (Associate Manager, Zensar Technologies Ltd.).

The sessions covered Agile methodologies, Big Data tools in education, CI/CD pipelines, Selenium-based automation testing, and emerging AI tools for academic workflows. With participation of over 1000 faculty members from across the country, the FDP significantly enhanced pedagogical competencies, promoted innovative teaching practices, and strengthened academia–industry collaboration, contributing towards the development of a future-ready academic ecosystem.
