The Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) of the MHRD, Government of India funded by the World Bank is aimed to upscale and support the efforts of Government of India for improvement in quality of technical education and enhance existing capacity of the Institute to become dynamic, demand driven, efficient and responsive to economic and technological development.

 

Academic Development - To achieve academic excellence through improvement in infra-structural facilities, faculty and staff development, improvements in curricular practices.

Purchase of Equipment About Rs.50-60 Lakhs, per department was utilized for purchase of equipment for up-gradation of existing laboratory facilities.

Staff Training The training to staff (Teaching and Non-teaching) is in progress. We are continuously deputing staff to technical as well as management capacity development training in India as well as abroad.

Development of Library The present status of Library is strengthened by purchasing books, e-journals, online national and international journals, learning resources to the tune of Rs.1.10 crores.

Services to Community Institute organizes awareness/training programs for improvement of quality of work by unskilled/skilled technical manpower in the near vicinity. The services / training to un-organized sector are basically free of cost and aim to upscale and increase opportunity for employment and to develop entrepreneurship, and to build confidence in their life.

Networking Institute has signed MOUs with various other institutes for effective sharing of technical manpower, bi-lateral exchange of expertise, equipment and other infrastructure facilities, so as to derive better benefits to the students.

Tribal Development Plan The needy, poor students, specifically from reserved category viz. SC/ST students are benefited from this, by way of scholarship, book bank, additional coaching for academic as well as competitive examinations so as to bring them at par with other students
