The Institute gives due importance to extra-curricular activities like dramatics, singing, acting, debate and quiz competitions. Students participate in inter-collegiate and other competitions and win prizes. The Institute also conducts several such activities on the campus.

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology Art Circle ( Aesthetic Committee ) gives an excellent platform to the students for their exposure in the field of art & craft. Every year Art exhibition is being performed in annual social gathering & students participate by exhibiting their paintings, sketches, origami & many more innovative ideas in this area. Interested students can participate along with Aesthetic Committee incharge Mrs. M. M. Shidore , Lecturer , Department of Electronics.

Every year a group of students forms a cultural group and participates in well known competitions like INSYNCH , Firodiya Karandak , Purushottam Karandak , Mood Indigo (IIT, Powai), Verve, etc. Traditionally, this group has been consistently winning a large number of prizes every year. Students of the Institute are also encouraged to practice and participate in sports. The students have won many prizes in sports. The Institute provides all necessary support and facilities for participating in sports competitions. Every year intraclass and inter-class sports competitions are held to promote sports activity.
