Electrical department was established in 1999 as an independent department. The staff from this department is mainly involved in teaching the subjects related to Basic electrical engineering, electrical machines and control systems required for students of various branches. A conscious effort is made to maintain high educational standard. Two Staff members from this department have received “Well appraised teacher – Award”.

The staff from department is actively involved in giving consultancy and training for industry. Suzlon, MBT, Tata Honeywell, Thermax , VRDE, Paramount Shipping corporation are few names of the companies with whom we have already conducted joint projects.

Apart from teaching, the staff of the department looks after new wiring, electrical maintenance, UPS systems, generators, and lift. There is also a conscious effort for energy conservation and Audit techniques.

The staff of the department is actively involved in extra curricular activities including blood donation, ‘services to community’ etc.
