From The Chairman's Desk
The Bansilal Ramnath Ararwal Charitable Trust (BRACT), established on 16th June, 1975, under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, is running religious & educational activities in the city of Pune and several other parts of the country. The Trust is developed to spiritual and social development of mankind. As a part of our objectives, the Trust has instituted several educational institutions with a motto of imparting high quality education. In order to meet the requirements of society and industry, the Trust started Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) in the year 1984 to impart quality technical education developing useful manpower for industry in particular.

"VISHWAKARMA", as per the Indian mythology, is an architect-engineer of God Almighty. The Trust adopted this name with a vision to develop engineers of high repution, who could take up the challengers of any type of job.
Having ensured a quality education and standard of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology at a very commendable level, the trust has also opened another technical institute in the name of Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT). The trust has also expanded the spheres of professional education by starting post graduate programmers in engineering and computer applications. At the same time, the trust has entered into the field of management education by establishing the institute, Vishwakarma Institute of Management (VIM).

All these institutions have opened the gates for international students. Since the degrees conferred upon our students are well accepted all over the world including USA and UK, we assume a large number of students would join us. A project to accommodate such students in the best possible way is taking shape in the form of international hostels.
