a) First Year Admissions (F.E.)

The admissions to these programs are effected as per the directives laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra State, OMS & AIEEE Candidates:

The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50 % marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45 % marks i.e. 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra state only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics added together.

AND

Obtained nonzero score in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics at MHT-CET 2007. or valid AIEEE score for the year 2007 – 08.

b. Second Year Direct Admissions (after Diploma in Engg.)

Eligibility: The candidate should have passed in first class, post SSC or post HSC Diploma Course in Engineering / Technology of the MSBTE or its equivalent.

Application Form

Vishwakarma Institute of Technology offers the following full time Post graduate programmes:

a) Master of Engineering in:

	Computer Science and Engineering (IT)
	Industrial Engineering
	Instrumentation and Control Engineering (Process Instrumentation)
	Mechanical Engineering (Design)
	Mechanical Engineering (Heat Power)

Duration: Full time two years

Eligibility: As prescribed by University of Pune. Candidates having a valid GATE score will have a priority in admission process. They are also eligible for a stipend as per AICTE rules.

	Course (Specialization)	Eligibility : B.E. / B. Tech. or Equivalent degree form a recognized University in the following branches indicated against the respective PG program.
1	M.E. Computer Science and Engg. (Information Technology)	i) Computer Engineering or ii) Information Technology or iii) Electronics Engineering or iv) Electronics & Telecom or v) Electrical Engineering or vi) Instrumentation & Control
2	M.E. Industrial Engineering	Any branch of Engineering

Candidates appearing for final year degree examination in May / June 2007 may also apply. Their admissions, if offered, will be confirmed only after their satisfactory results of final exam.

b. Master of Computer Application (MCA)

Eligibility: Passed with minimum of 45% marks in aggregate ( 40% in case of backward candidates from Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration in any displine recognized by the Association of Indian Universities and having studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination.

The candidates who have passed Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) degree course with minimum % of marks as stated above are not required to fulfill the requirement of having studied Mathematics or Statistic as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or higher level examination.
