Determine the courses, curricula,
methods of education in pursuit of
excellence.
• Evolve methods of evaluation,
conduct examinations and finalize
results for declaration. The degree
however, will be awarded by Pune University.
• Enter into
collaborative arrangements for purposes
of curriculum development, teaching,
research and consultancy with institution
of higher learning and industries.
Credit system will
be implemented under autonomy. A student
acquires credits by completing a course
and passing (1 Lecturer Hour 1 Credit,
2 Practical hours 1 Credit) and will
be awarded a Grade Point Average (GPA).
A four
year degree course will be of 180
- 200 credits. Students will be evaluated
continuously with a good teaching-learning
process and academic flexibility.
Flexibility could
include multipoint entry, introduction
of credit scheme and choice of a large
number of electives, with courses
curricula permitting students to choose
subjects to suit their career aspirations.
Flexible pace of earning credits
with minimum and maximum specified
per semester, carrying over credits,
registering more credits than required,
having audit courses, choosing courses
from other disciplines are examples
of curriculum flexibility.
Student will be assigned
industrial training and industry oriented
courses. Autonomy will allow Vishwakarma
Institute of Technology to update
the courses regularly and will meet
the industry needs. |
